Kits come in two forms; the Easy version which has a fully assembled controller and the Basic version (called the workshop version) which needs a small amount of soldering and final assembly of the controller.
Here are controller assembly instructions: MRG Controller Assembly Instructions
If you choose the Easy version you can skip this step.
There are three kits that the MRG currently offers.
– The Mini Sumo (also called the MiniMax) which is a two-wheeled robot with a wired controller that is designed to be a robotic sumo wrestler. In competition at the games two entrants try to push each other out of a ring to score points. Assembly instructions are here: Mini Sumo Assembly Instructions
– The Super Scramble is a robot with treads rather than wheels which is used to tackle an obstacle course. Two entrants start at opposite ends of the course in a race to the other end. The assembly instructions for the Super Scramble kit are here: Super Scramble assembly Instructions
-For the younger entrants, there is an entry level kit called the Robo-Critter which is used to travel around in a playing field and touch several targets. This kit is easier to build that the ones above and is meant to be an entry point into the world of robotics. Assembly instruction are here: Robo-Critter assembly Instructions.
